CANNON BEACH DINOSAUR TRACKER FIELD STATION

Learn How To Track The Largest Beasts That Ever Roamed The Earth

Coming in 2019... the Cannon Beach Dinosaur Tracker Field Station.

Learn how to track dinosaurs using real dinosaur tracks you can touch and feel. Learn how to distinguish the tracks made by plant eating dinosaurs vs. people eating dinosaurs... something rather important to know if you plan to track dinosaurs. You'll also learn how to read dinosaur tracks so you'll know the size of the dinosaur, what type of activity they were engaged in, and how fast they are moving. Plus, learn to read other signs that are important for tracking dinosaurs, such as coporlite and tail dragging traces.

Christian News Northwest

There is still a lot of work to do... but we're working to build this new field station in Cannon Beach as rapidly as possible.

Initially the Cannon Beach Dinosaur Tracker Field Station will be open Thursdays through Saturdays from October through March. We'll extend the times we are open as volunteer staff becomes available and trained.

Arts and craft activities will be available for kids, including making and painting casts of dinosaur tracks and learning how to make a dinosaur model from a dinner fork.

In addition to the field station, we are working on this web site (yes, the one you are at now). There is not much here yet, but we will be expanding and upgrading the web site as work on the Field Station progresses. Be sure to come back for special insider information and news about private preview dates that will only be open to visitors to our web site.

We already have an extensive collection of dinosaur tracks and other fossils in storage. However, we are continually looking to upgrade and expand our collection and improve the Dinosaur Tracker experience. If you have fossils or artifacts you can donate, or if you can support us finacially (donations are tax deductible), please contact us. Our email is:

Where Do Our Dinosaur Tracks Come From?

We have had a mobile dinosaur track display for many years that we've used to help share the gospel at festivals, fairs, churches, VBSes, conferences and other events. Over the years we have continued to add to our collection with fossils from Arizona, Wyoming, North Dakota, and our home state of Oregon.

Most of our dinosaur tracks come from Massachusetts and all of them are real. These are not reproductions

The Cannon Beach Dinosaur Tracker Field Station will be an interactive learning experience. When you enter the building you will be able to connect to the displays using your smart phone. Information and videos, viewable on your phone, will lead you through the process of learning how to identify and track dinosaurs.

We'll also help you determine the time period when dinosaurs roamed the earth, so that, should time machines become available, you will be able to go back to the correct time period, track a dinosaur (a plant eater, not a people eater), and photograph that dinosaur. Harming a dinosaur in the past is strictly forbidden, as that could change all of history.

Dinosaur Tracker Dinosaur Tracks

Yes, there will be a test.

As you finish your Field Station experience, you will have an opportunity to examine real dinosaur tracks and traces that have not been marked or highlighed... they will be in their natural state. Will you be able to correctly identify the dinosaur tracks and type of dinosaur?

We also plan to host classes and Creation Conferences at the Cannon Beach Dinosaur Tracker Field Station. We began holding a bi-annual English-Spanish creation conference at the Cannon Beach Bible Church in 2012. We hope to transition this to an annual conference, as well as holding weekend classes from October through March each year -- the Lord willing.

This is a monster-sized project (or should I say T-Rex sized project) and we are depending on the Lord for much of what will be needed. Please be in prayer for us. THANK YOU!

The pictures show how we've used some of our dinosaur materials in the past.

We've displayed dinosaur tracks at up to 30 fairs and festivals per year, and they are always popular.

We have also held several creation seminars in Cannon Beach, and some of our fossils are displayed during these conferences.

In addition to dinosaur tracks we have many other fossils, including large chunks of petrified wood, fish, clams, dinosaur bone, trilobites, and more. We also have reproductions of famous fossils such as Archaeopteryx. We are continuing to look to aquire additional, interesting fossils.
